About Kamal Morar, MD, MBA
Interventional Radiology
Dr. Morar is a board-certified Interventional Radiologist who trained at the Cleveland Clinic. With over twenty years of clinical experience and more than 30,000 image-guided procedures performed, his proficiency is in minimally invasive, catheter-based treatments — most notably embolization techniques — which permit physicians to address complex vascular issues within the body utilizing advanced imaging guidance.
When it comes to failed back surgery, Dr. Morar employs these precise techniques to assist in diagnosis, treatment planning, and managing conditions related to post-surgery complications. His proficiency in embolization and vascular therapies allows for targeted treatment strategies that can help in reducing complications, enhancing recovery times, and minimizing the necessity for more invasive surgeries.
Dr. Morar is dedicated to the progression of interventional radiology and was among the pioneering physicians in the U.S. to publish research on embolization techniques as early as 2005. With over 18 years of experience in developing and running outpatient interventional radiology centers in Ohio, he remains an active contributor to the field by teaching, serving as part-time faculty at the University of Cincinnati, and offering clinical services at regional hospitals.
Dr. Morar is also engaged in global healthcare efforts, aiding in the development of medical infrastructure and the expansion of interventional radiology services in regions lacking adequate resources. He holds a lifetime membership with the Society of Interventional Radiology and has been involved in numerous educational committees focused on promoting the understanding of minimally invasive treatment methods.
